About: Walid Itayim was born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon. Ever since he heard the Beatles at age 6 he wanted to become a rock star. His main instrument is guitar. During the eighties and nineties he played in several local bands. He was a founder band of the Lebanese band Force (1983-85). They recorded an album of original songs which was pretty innovative and the first of it's kind to come out of the Lebanese Rock scene. The album was called Forced. His first official solo album "Where I Wanna Be" was released in April 2009. He and musician Munir Khauli played all the instruments on the album except for guest appearances by Ziad Rahbani, Arthur Satyan, Jeremy Chapman and Sami Shabshab.

Pirating the local musicians is not a nice thing to do. I could understand if this was done with foreign big names whose general sales would not be affected by this kind of thing. For example, my CD was pirated one day after it’s date of release by someone here in Lebanon and this person uploaded it to the internet as a torrent file making it free for everyone. I don’t know how this person can justify his action of making my CD available as a free download before I had even sold a single copy of it myself. I am curious to know if that person is one and the same person as whoever piratebeirut.com is.

Nope :) We actually got the torrent from thepiratebay but we are not connected to the uploader himself.
