One of our favorite emerging artists, Safar Barlik, is back with another video. SafarBarlik is a Lo-Fi, home made music project. It is all done by one person who has deeply engraved, nostalgic feelings towards Beirut and it’s long lost golden age. I like it! The whole package invokes the special feeling all Lebs have for the past (for better or worse). I take great heart in any artist that comes up with their own music (cool synth), their own video (impressive camera work), and their own lyrics/topics (simple yet fresh). Kudos to PirateBeirut for bringing SB to light!

This is a masterpiece, I cannot describe the feeling I had when I watched the video. I’m sure that’s the only thing I’ll be listening to for the next couple of weeks.
