We believe in preserving the Lebanese cultural heritage. Specifically, the non-mainstream music scene. We intend to do this by leveraging technology. In 2009, we created the PirateBeirut music archive, which strives to be a comprehensive online archive of Lebanese music releases. As of 2012, we have archived over 80 Lebanese bands.
• I’m an artist and I don’t want my music in your archive
An average album is visited by thousands of avid music listeners every month, in 151 countries. That’s a multitude of potential fans that wouldn’t have bought your album anyway, but would consider going to your live shows or buy your next album if they liked the latest one. If you’re still not convinced, contact us and we’ll leave you alone.
